Te Mihi Project Columbus
2016-2017
B & S Construction was engaged directly by Contact Energy for this project, providing Project Management and Construction services as the main contractor for the Te Mihi Project Columbus. This scope saw us undertake an exciting new design for a rock muffler within the Te Mihi Steamfields, designed to reduce noise emissions due to public neighbours being near to the site.
This project was completed within required timeframes, alongside all additional scope requested by Contact Energy, including a full perimeter wall around the outside of the structure as an added mitigator to noise.
Tauhara CP3 Project
2022-2023
B & S Construction was engaged by Warner Construction for this project for Contact Energy, tasked to complete the civil works installation of all pipe support foundations for cross-country pipework, silencer foundations and wellpad scope for TH29, TH37 and TH27 involved.
This project was completed within required timeframes, alongside all additional scope through pricing or variations. This included the TH37 pipeline, TH26 Silencer Foundation, TH12 Silencer Foundation and TH28 Silencer Foundation, as well as a number of additional supports and slabs.
Te Huka Unit 3 Project
For this project we were once again engaged as a subcontractor to Warner Construction for undertaking the civil scope for this project. Works involved the pipeline support foundations installation for the Reinjection line and Production line and included major foundations for silencers, weir boxes and culvert supports.
Project deadlines were successfully met, including additional scope related to the SGW and Separator areas such as silencer foundations, drain supports and platform pads.
Te Mihi Geofuture Stage 2 Project
B & S Construction completed this project as a Contractor working directly for Contact Energy. A variety of scope was required both directly within this project and with adjacent scopes.
Major pipeline foundations were the main undertaking, with a large emphasis on time constraint prior to upcoming outages.
Project completion was successfully met ahead of deadlines including additional scope related to existing pipeline foundation strengthening, involving the reinforcing and modification of original supports.
